Hello Fellow Writer,

I first created The Holistic Writer back in 2001, but just didn’t have the technology or time to bring my vision to fruition. Flash forward to 2007 — I’ve discovered the power of WordPress and have decided to bring my idea to life. I truly hope you enjoy this website and am open to your suggestions.

But first, what is The Holistic Writer?

The Holistic Writer is a website for writers that’s not about writing. Here you will find information and resources that support your mind, body and spirit so you can write all that stuff and publish it (if you so desire.)

Mind

In order to be a good writer, you must keep your mind in shape. Feed it good stuff (the writings of good writers and authors), give it plenty of exercise (keep those synapses well toned!) and be sure to let it rest once in a while. Enter this section to find links to information and resources that will help you do all of these and more.

Body

In order to keep your mind in good working order, you need to house it in a body that is healthy. Feed it good stuff (what you eat not only affects your health, but your mind’s functionality as well), give it plenty of exercise (a fit body has more energy for those “meet the deadline” crunch times) and be sure to let it rest once in a while. Enter this section to find links to information and resources that will help you do all of these and more.

Spirit

The key to a overall healthy lifestyle, one that will keep you writing and enjoying life for years to come, is an energized and contented “spirit.” Enter this section to find links to information and resources that will help you keep up your spirit, find solace when you need it and provide resources for this very important aspect of your life.

The Shoppes

Each section has its own shoppe. You’ll find general writing support products in the Main Shoppe, mind support products in the Mind Shoppe, products to support your health in the Body Shoppe and products to support your spirit in the Spirit Shoppe.

Newsletters and RSS Feeds

Each section has its own newsletters and RSS feeds. If you want a general newsletter touching on Mind, Body and Spirit, subscribe to the main section (purple). If you want the newsletter focused on the Mind, subscribe in the Mind section (blue). For the Body newsletter, go to the Body section (rust). And for the Spirit newsletter, go to the Spirit section (teal). Of course, you are welcome to subscribe to all four, just realize that there may be some overlap of topics among the newsletters.
